It's no surprise that aesthetics both inspire and drive my work, goals and daily rituals. My mom was an interior designer and I spent my childhood surrounded by fabric and wallpaper samples with frequent trips to the Boston Design Center. I caught the retail bug early in life and the first job I loved was at Anthropologie on Beacon Street when I was in college - where I'd spend my entire paycheck thanks to their impressive employee discount.
While the coast is a constant touchstone in my artistic process, I draw inspiration from so many more visual and textural objects... a cozy cardigan displaying soft neutrals; a cement lamp base imitating lava rocks found far away; a candle holder holding the shape of the waves at sea.
I've spent countless hours saving all my favorite on Pinterest - it's saved me from impulse buys... instead of add to cart, I add to Pinterest :) I've thought about sharing these favorites with all of you, but honestly didn't know where to start. One of my goals for 2023 is to do just that - START!
Through this blog, I'll be sharing some of my favorite things that spark joy and creativity for me, starting with some SURF inspo for your home! I hope it inspires you and if nothing else, brings beauty to your day!
xoxo,
Jen
